Privacy policy

This is a translation. In case of any discrepancy, the French version prevails.

Liftup Concept (Bukavu, République démocratique du Congo) is responsible for the personal data processed by SALLES D'EVENEMENTS. We only collect what is useful for the service and never sell any data.

1. Data collected

• Account: name, email address, password (stored encrypted, never readable), phone number if you give it when sending a request.
• Requests and bookings: venue, date, type of event, number of guests, message to the manager.
• Messages exchanged with managers, reviews and ratings, favourites.
• Managers and teams: information about the space (name, phone, address, any legal identifiers), team members, and management data entered (clients, bookings, payments, documents).
• Technical data: IP address and connection logs, used for security (limiting abuse, detecting errors).
• Visit statistics: pages viewed, origin (Google, WhatsApp…), type of device and clicks towards managers. They are anonymous: no cookie and no stored IP address; a visitor is only recognised during the day, through an encrypted fingerprint that changes every day and cannot identify them. Each manager sees the figures for their own venues.

2. Why we use it

• to run your account and let you log in securely;
• to send your requests and messages to the manager of the venue you chose;
• to send you the emails related to the service: address verification, manager replies, invitation to leave a review;
• to publish reviews (first name and initial of the last name only);
• to manage the spaces' subscriptions;
• to protect the platform against fraud and abuse.

We do not send advertising and do not use advertising trackers.

3. Who can see your data

• The manager of the venue you contact: your name, phone, email, request and messages. They never see your requests to other venues. They are told how many people saved a venue as a favourite, never who.
• The public: only your reviews, with your first name and the initial of your last name.
• Our team, for support, checking spaces and moderation.
• Our host (Namecheap, United States), which stores the data on our behalf. Your data is therefore stored outside the DRC, on secure servers.

4. Retention period

• Account: as long as it exists. When it is deleted, your account data is erased.
• Bookings and payments: kept by the venue's space for its accounts, even after your account is deleted.
• Reviews: published as long as the account exists; a review may remain without the author's name after the account is deleted.
• Technical logs: 14 days. Security backups: 14 days.
• Anonymous visit statistics: 13 months.

5. Cookies

The website only uses the cookies it needs to work: keeping you logged in, protecting forms and remembering your language. No advertising cookie and no third-party audience measurement.

6. Security

Encrypted connection (HTTPS) on every page, encrypted passwords, separation of each space's data, two-factor authentication for the administration team, daily backups.

7. Your rights

In accordance with the applicable Congolese legislation, in particular Ordinance-Law No. 23/010 of 13 March 2023 on the Digital Code, you can access your data, have it corrected or deleted, and object to certain processing.

• Change your name or email, or delete your account: from your profile.
• Any other request: mkapaben243@gmail.com or the contact page. We reply within 30 days.

For data entered by a manager in their space (client record, booking), you can also contact the venue concerned directly.

8. Minors

The service is reserved for people aged 18 and over.
