Terms of use

This is a translation. In case of any discrepancy, the French version prevails.

1. Purpose

These terms govern the use of SALLES D'EVENEMENTS, published by Liftup Concept (Bukavu, République démocratique du Congo). The platform allows:

• clients to search for an event venue, request a date, talk with the manager, save favourites and leave a review;
• managers to publish their venues and manage bookings, payments, documents and their team in their space.

Creating an account or using the website means you accept these terms.

2. Role of the platform

SALLES D'EVENEMENTS is a technical intermediary. The venue rental agreement is made directly between the client and the manager. The platform is not a party to this agreement, does not collect any payment between them and guarantees neither the final availability of a date, nor the price, nor the quality of the service.

A booking request sent through the website does not block the date: only the manager confirms a booking.

3. Accounts

• The information you provide (name, email, phone) must be accurate. Your account is personal.
• You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for any action taken from your account.
• You can delete your account at any time from your profile.
• You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.

4. Managers' commitments

• Only publish venues they are entitled to rent, with descriptions, photos, capacities and prices that match reality.
• Keep their availability up to date and answer requests within a reasonable time.
• Respect clients' privacy: their contact details are only used to handle their booking.
• Give the client a receipt for every payment.

Before appearing on the public website, each space is checked by our team. We may refuse, suspend or remove a misleading listing, or a space that does not comply with these terms.

5. Clients' commitments

• Only send genuine requests and inform the manager of any change.
• Follow the venue rules shown on its listing.
• As a precaution: visit the venue before any payment, and always ask for a receipt.

6. Messages and reviews

Only a client whose booking made through the website was confirmed, and whose event took place, can leave a review, once, within 90 days. The review is published with their first name and the initial of their last name. The manager may reply publicly, once.

In messages as in reviews, the following are prohibited:

• insulting, discriminatory, threatening or defamatory content;
• fake reviews, or reviews written in exchange for something;
• publishing other people's personal contact details;
• advertising and links unrelated to the booking.

We may hide a review that breaks these rules. It is never edited.

7. Managers' subscriptions

Use of the management space is subject to a subscription plan (Discovery, Standard or Pro), described in the space. A free trial of 30 days is offered when the space is created. Payment is made by Mobile Money; the subscription is activated once the payment has been checked. Without renewal, the space returns to the Discovery plan, with its limits, without losing any data.

The platform takes no commission on bookings.

8. Liability

We do our best to keep the website available and accurate, without being able to guarantee it at all times. Liftup Concept cannot be held responsible for a dispute between a client and a manager, for a payment made outside the platform, or for inaccurate information published by a manager. In case of dispute, contact us: we can help restore dialogue and remove abusive content.

9. Changes to the terms

These terms may change. The date of the last update is shown at the top of the page. Registered users are informed of any significant change.

10. Applicable law

These terms are governed by the law of the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Failing an amicable agreement, any dispute falls within the jurisdiction of the competent courts of Bukavu.
